Complete removal and replacement of a large Victorian slate roof in central Aberystwyth. New Welsh slate laid to traditional pattern with leadwork flashings and new guttering throughout.
A substantial beachfront property on the West Wales coast required a complete deck replacement. Ben installed a new rubber flat roof underneath, then built a full hardwood deck over it — giving the owners an outdoor space that will withstand the coastal elements for decades.
A complex Victorian bow window roof where previous fibreglass repairs had completely failed. Ben stripped back to bare timber, rebuilt the structure and hand-formed a new artisan lead roof to match the original period design.
Replacement of the flat roof on a Victorian style porch, finished with matching period detailing. Rubber membrane installed for long-term performance alongside traditional joinery and decorative mouldings.
A new rubber flat roof installed over an existing outbuilding, topped with a beautiful hardwood deck and full frameless glass balustrade. The project also included a raised platform area with a timber hot tub surround.
Chimney in need of full repointing with deteriorating mortar joints exposed to the Welsh coastal climate. Scaffolded access, full mortar rake-out and repoint, with lead flashing checked and reset throughout.
The RSPB bird hide at a local West Wales nature reserve had a heavily overgrown and failing roof in a remote woodland setting. Ben replaced the full roof with Onduline sheeting, working at height in challenging conditions with stunning estuary views.
